Ganga Quest is a competitive knowledge-building platform, an awareness initiative and scientific baseline determination exercise to assess the knowledge gaps and attitude orientation about Ganga and Rivers.

Ganga Quest is a national bilingual (Hindi and English) online quiz on Ganga which is organized jointly by National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), an authority under Government of India which implements ‘Namami Gange’ programme and TREE Craze Foundation (TCF), a not for profit organization committed to Ganga, Rivers, and Environment.

Apart from engaging and creating awareness and knowledge among participants, Ganga Quest initiative aims at analyzing and evaluating the nature of participation and status of awareness among the participants. The targeted objectives are; Knowledge Building, Awareness, Orientation, Knowledge Gap Assessment, and Baseline Determination. Its ultimate aim is to increase the public participation for ‘Namami Gange’ programme and to enhance ownership of children and youth for rivers and Ganga. Anyone above 10 years of age can participate in the quiz!

NCERT Common Entrance Examination (RIE-CEE 2020) for B.Ed Programmes at Regional Institutes of Education

NCERT invites applications for the Common Entrance Exam for admission to various teacher education programmes of Regional Institutes of Education – RIE Ajmer, RIE Bhopal, RIE Bhubaneswar, RIE Mysuru, NERIE Shillong and Prarambh, State Institute of Advanced Studies in Teacher Education, Jhajjar, Haryana.
The various courses offered are:
1. 2-year Bachelor of Education programme (B.Ed)
2. 4 -year B.A, B.Ed
3. 4-year B.Sc, B.Ed
4. 2-year Master of Education programme (M.Ed)
5. 6-year M.Sc Ed programme in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
Eligibility
2-year B.Ed: 
Candidates with at least 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/ Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science or Mathematics or in Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Social Sciences/Humanities are eligible for admission to the programme (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/PwD candidates).
B.A.B.Ed. Course:
Candidates must have passed +2 / Hr. Secondary/Sr. Secondary or equivalent examination in Science and Commerce streams or in Arts streams with at least 50% marks in aggregate (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates) in 2018, 2019 and appearing/ appeared in 2020.
B.Sc.B.Ed. Course:
a) Candidates seeking admission to Physical Science Group (PCM) must have passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) (Mathematics stands for Mathematics or Statistics) and those seeking admission to Biological Science Group (CBZ) must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) (Biology stands for Biology or Biotechnology) at +2 level.
b) Candidates must have passed +2 / Hr. Sec./ Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination recognized by University/ Board with at least 50% marks in aggregate of qualifying examination (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/PwD candidates). The qualifying examination should be recognized by the affiliated universities of the RIEs.
c) Candidates who have passed +2 / Hr. Sec./ Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination in 2018, 2019 or appearing /appeared in 2020, only.
M.Ed:
Candidates seeking admission to the M.Ed. Programme should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade {relaxation by 5% for SC/ST/PwD Candidates} in the following programmes / courses from any University / College / Institute recognized by affiliating universities
a) B.Ed.
b) B.A.B.Ed./B.A.Ed/B.Sc.B.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
c) B.El.Ed.
d) D.El.Ed. with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Science (With 50% marks in each)
M.Sc Ed:

Group-A: The level of questions will be such as expected of the candidate completing higher secondary/senior secondary education

MHT CET Application Form 2020

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has released the application form of MHT CET 2020 on January 7. Now, candidates can fill MHT CET 2020 application form on the official website in online mode. Before filling up the MHT CET application form 2020, candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria in order to avoid rejection at any later stage. While filling the MHT CET 2020 application form, candidates will have to follow these steps – register, fill in the online application form, uploading of scanned images and payment of application fees either in online or offline mode. After final submission of MHT CET application form, candidates are not required to send the form to the exam authorities. MHT CET Application Form 2020 – Detailed steps to fill the online form

MHT CET 2020 Registration

To register without using Aadhaar Card, candidates will have to fill in the required details – name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, residential status, mobile number, email address, state, district and verification code. After completing the details, candidates will receive a confirmation code at their registered email ID and mobile number. Also, the same will be displayed on the screen.  Save all the information and proceed to the next step.

Also, in case candidates are doing their registration through Aadhaar Card, then they will have to click on the Aadhaar button and choose either OTP or biometric to validate their details. After Aadhaar authentication, the Information such as Aadhaar number, date of birth, gender, address, state etc will be auto-filled in the application form of MHT CET 2020. 

Candidates just have to enter Captcha, Username and password. Now, confirm the entered password and click on the ‘Register’ button. A confirmation message will be displayed on the screen.

Online filling of MHT CET Application Form 2020

In this step, candidates will have to login by using their Username and Password and click on the ‘Sign in to Account’ button in order to fill in the application form of MHT CET 2020. Candidates are required to fill in their personal details (name, date of birth, gender etc), permanent as well as correspondence address, nationality, domicile certificate, category, religion, Disability, if any, Candidate’s account details that will be used by State CET Cell, qualifying exam details (SSC/CBSE/ICSE/IB/IGCSE From India, 10th/SSC details, 12th/HSC), subjects, language, faculties and district preferences. 

After completing all the above-mentioned details in MHT CET 2020 application form, candidates will have to click on the submit button. Now, proceed to the next step.

Uploading of Scanned Images

After filling up the required details in MHT CET application form 2020, candidates have to upload their scanned photograph and signature by clicking on the upload button with the prescribed specifications given by the exam conducting authority. After uploading the photograph and signature in the online application form of MHT CET 2020, candidates have to pay the application fees of the entrance test as prescribed by the exam conducting authority. The payment of MHT CET can be made online or via challan

Maharashtra NTSE 2019

The Maharashtra State Council of Examination, Pune has released the information brochure for National Talent Search Scheme. The examination is held for the students of standard 10 to identify pure talent. Students who wish to apply for the state and national level examinations can visit the official website to check the information related to the examination.
The National Talent Search Scheme examination is conducted in two levels. Stage 1 examination is the state level exam which will be conducted on November 2, 3 and 17, 2019 while the Stage 2 examination will be held on May 10, 2019. The stage 1 examination for Maharashtra will be held on November 17, 2019. Candidates can apply for the examination by contacting the state/UT liaison officer. As per the notification provided on the official website, the completed application form has to be signed by the principal of the respective schools. The last date to submit the application form will be different for the different states and union territories. The last date for submission of the application forms for the state of Maharashtra is September 11, 2019. Candidates can find the complete schedule for the Maharashtra NTSE examination here.

NTSE 2020 Stage-1 & Stage-2 Official Schedule

The official NTSE 2020 Notification has been issued on July 17, 2019. National Talent Search Examination popularly known as NTSE is conducted by National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) for identifying and nurturing the talented students who want to pursue higher education in Science and Social Studies streams.
Based on student’s scores in Mental Ability Test, Scholastic Aptitude Test, and Interview, the NTSE scholarships will be distributed. Alike last year, 2000 scholarships will be awarded this year for different stages.
a) Scholarship of Rs. 1250/- per month for class XI and XII
b) Scholarship of Rs. 2000/- per month for Undergraduate and postgraduate
c) Amount of scholarship for Ph.D. is fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.
NTSE Eligibility Criteria
Students of class X studying in recognized schools are eligible to appear for the Stage-1 exam, conducted by the States/UTs, in which the schools are located. There will be no domicile restriction. Students registered under Open Distance Learning (ODL) will also be eligible for the scholarship, provided the student is below the age of 18 years (as on 1st July of the particular year), the student is not employed and she/he is appearing in class X examination for the first time. Those students who quality NTSE Stage 1 are eligible for NTSE Stage 2.
NTSE 2020 Exam Dates
NTSE will be conducted in two stages:
1. NTSE Stage 1 exam will be held on November 2, 3 & 17, 2019.
2. The stage 2 exam will be held on May 10, 2020.
Only those who qualify Stage 1 NTSE 2020 exam will be called for the Stage 2 exam.
