National Institute of Fashion Technology 2019 UG Courses: online registration started


NIFT 2019 – National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), will be conducted written entrance examination 2019  on January 20 for admissions to B.Des and B.F.Tech programmes. Registration has begun for NIFT from October 22 and the last date for filling it is December 28, 2018. Candidates will be able to pay register by paying the late fee with Rs. 5000/- till January 3.

NIFT 2019 entrance exam, which will be a pen and paper based test, will be held for admissions across the Institute’s 16 campuses situated in New Delhi, Gandhinagar, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Kangra, Chennai, Bhubaneshwar, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Patna, Srinagar, Kannur, Raebareli, Shillong and Kolkata.

Join Military Nursing Service Bsc. (nursing) course 2019: Exam date, Application form, Eligibility

Indian Army invited applications from FEMALE CANDIDATES (only) for admission to 4years B Sc. (Nursing) Course commencing in 2019 at Colleges of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services. Candidates will be awarded admission in Colleges of Nursing based on the merit cum choice, subject to medical fitness and the vacancy in each College. The Selected candidates shall execute an Agreement/Bond to serve in the Military Nursing Service. On successful completion of Nursing Training (4years), the candidates will be granted Permanent/Short Service Commission in the Military Nursing
Service, under the Terms and Conditions laid down for grant of such Commission.

Subsequent to passing the final year University examination for B Sc (Nursing) Course, the candidates will be offered Commission in the Military Nursing Service subject to medical fitness. The date of declaration of result from respective Universities will be the date of Commission for the candidates. The date of Commission determines the date of seniority in service among all candidates who have joined the Course in the same year.

Eligibility Conditions:
(a) Female candidates who are unmarried/divorcee/legally separated/ widow without encumbrances.
(b) Nationality – Citizen of India
(c) Date of Birth – Between 01 Oct 1994 to 30 Sep 2002 (both days inclusive).
(d) Educational Qualification – Candidates must have passed in the first attempt, Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent (12 Years schooling) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English with not less than 50% aggregate marks as a regular student from a Statutory / Recognized Board /University/ Examination Body. Candidates who will be appearing for Final year of qualifying examination during the current academic session may also apply provisionally.
The candidates finally selected for the course will have to submit proof of passing the  qualifying examination with requisite subjects and marks before joining the Course.
(e) Physical standards – Medical fitness will be determined as per standards applicable for Commission in the Armed Forces as amended from time to time. X-Ray examination of Chest and USG (of abdomen & pelvis) will be done. Minimum height should not be less than 148 cm (relaxed by 5cm in case of candidates belonging to Western Himalayan region, Eastern Himalayan region and Scheduled Tribes). CBSE Heritage India Quiz – 2018

CBSE Heritage India Quiz is an Inter School Quiz Competition that was conceptualized by the Board with the objective to inform the growing generation of students the inter-link between their culture and heritage and the need for sustainable socio-economic development alongside modernization.
The theme of the quiz will be,”Valuing the priceless: the value of Heritage and Culture in India – with special focus on the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi.”
The key details regarding the CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2018-19 are as follows:
Phase 1: Online Test will be held in November 2018
Phase 2: Online Test National Semi Finals and Final will be held in December 2018 – January 2019
Phase 1: Online Test:
The date of Online Test will be announced through Notification on the academic website of the Board.
1. The quiz competition will be conducted in November, 2018.It will be of 50 minutes duration comprising 60 Multiple Choice questions. Each school will be represented by a team of three students who may be selected from classes IX-XII.
2. Online test: On the announced date, an online window will be opened by all the registered schools, using specific registration number and password allocated after successful registration by the Board. This specific registration number and password will be automatically generated once school will submit the online registration form. Each school has to attend the test in their respective IT labs in their own school. On completion of test the team will get the feedback w.r.t. how many correct answers, wrong answers marked and time taken by them during the quiz. There is no negative marking for the wrong answers.
3. The online window will open on a pre-announced date for a specific period of time only.
4. Region wise merit list will be prepared which will be based upon the performance (speed and accuracy) in the online test. The top two teams from every region will qualify for participation in semi-finals
Phase 2: National Semi Finals and Final:
1. To be held tentatively in the last week of January 2018 to first week of February, 2018. The top 20 teams from the 10 competing regions will be divided into 05 groups of 04 teams each. The winner from each group will qualify for the finals. The National Semi Finals and the Final will be held in Delhi and may be broadcasted by YouTube and other e-media.
2.The date of the National Semi Finals and Final will be put on the CBSE website, so that the teams can make necessary arrangements for their travel, lodging and boarding.
Guidelines for participation–
1. All the schools interested to participate in this quiz, must ensure arrangement of seamless broadband internet connectivity in their computer lab on the day of online test. It is advised to keep one more set of personal computer ready with UPS and internet connectivity for emergency technical lapses.
2. All the schools affiliated to CBSE in India and foreign countries are invited to participate in this quiz.
3. Interested schools should submit the registration form and confirm their participation on or before 12th November, 2018, by filling in the online registration form available at

Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is a national program for educating and popularizing science among school students of VI to XI standards. VVM also endeavours to identify the bright minds among the student community, who are keen on subjects related to science.
Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is initiated by Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) in collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organization under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) an institution under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.
Mode of registration in both the cases will be online only. No offline application or fee submission will be entertained.
Individual Student Registration:
Individual student registration will be allowed on the basis of first come first serve due to the limited number of seats/devices with the centre/s. Students will be provided with an option to choose from the centre/s created by the organizers for examination purpose. Date for the examination will be pre-selected and students will not be allowed to make any further changes in the same. Student will have to come with his/her own device with good internet connectivity on the day and date mentioned against his/her centre. Centre might/might not be able to provide the devices for all the students as its main focus will be to provide venue for conduct in the exam.

School and student Registration:
A fully web based option will be available for the registration of schools. The school Principal/authority needs to appoint the school exam coordinator and he/she will…
Enter the details of the school like school name, school address, name of principal, name of exam coordinator, mobile number, email ID etc. This information will be shown as school profile on web site.
The entered data will be verified by VVM admin through sending OTP and an Email verification link on registered mobile and email respectively.
After the above mentioned process the school will be provided with a unique identification number.
The exam coordinator will now be able to register students who wish to take up the VVM online exam.
The coordinator enters minimal details like Name of student, Class, Gender, Email ID, Phone No. etc. It can be an offline process, because, editable excel file (no changes in the format of file will be acceptable) provided for data entry. This information will be shown as student profile on web site.
After completion of the entries the data can be uploaded or submitted online. If the uploading or data submission is successful he/she will be directed towards the payment page automatically.
After the successful submission of fee the exam coordinator will be provided with each student’s username and password. He/she will be distributing the same to respective students. The login Credentials of students will also be available in his/her school profile page as well. After that the job of exam coordinator is complete unless/until modification of student’s details is needed!
After successful submission, an OTP and email will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID of each registered student respectively.
The student can click the verification link and complete the verification process by entering the one-time password.
In the student profile page, the details of the student like profile photo need to be uploaded (mandatory), DoB, Father’s name, Mother’s name, Residential address etc.
The student must also specify the details of the device from which he is planning to take the exam in order to download the VVM Exam Application compatible with his/her device.
Student can confirm the details displayed or change the device by providing the details of the device from which he will be taking the exam.
From the school login, the details of all the students registered from that school will be displayed. The authority of modification in the student’s name, student’s mobile number etc. will only be with the Principal/School Exam Coordinator.
School Requirement to conduct Online Examination:
To conduct the examination school should provide classrooms and invigilators. Rs. 20 per student should be retained by the school as a service charge from organizers.
School Exam coordinator is requested to please do retain the above service charge with school and rest of the amount will be transferred only through RTGS/NEFT to VVM Delhi office.
About Devices and Internet facility:
All the students will be appearing in the examination through their own devices with internet connectivity. If the school is providing the devices with internet facility it will have to ensure that each device is equipped with good internet connectivity (minimum WiFi speed of 10 Mbps should be ensured for a batch of 100 students). As the student number increases beyond this level the available WiFi speed need to be increased in proportion.
Application Download and Installation:
Once the registration process is complete the Exam application will be made available to download from the profile page of the student. The Application (app) will be installed and working properly only if the registered device (laptop/tablet/mobile) details are correct or it is downloaded according to the operating system of the desired device from student’s profile page.
The profile page will contain detailed instructions for Application download and installation. Request support link will be available in case of any issues.
Once the App is downloaded the user will have the option to test the Application. Students will have to update it regularly and for this purpose he/she will have to allow push notification from this App for update notifications.
Notifications and Mock test:
To build the confidence of the students and to make exam user friendly, the mock test will be conducted regularly. The registered students will get regular notifications regarding the availability of mock exams. On the specified date and time the student can login and take the mock test. The student profile will be displayed in the top section of the Application. The profile will contain student details with photo for identification.
On completion of the mock test, the student can view the results of mock test in his profile page. After verification of answers student can report to admin if he/she faces any problems in the feedback section of the App.
Final Examination:
Seven days before the date of exam, the student will receive an SMS and Email notification to download the latest App. This download must be done at least three days before the exam date. After 23 November 2018, the app will not be available for download (link will be disabled) for those appearing for November 25, 2018 examination and after 26 November 2018, the app will not be available for download (link will be disabled) for those appearing for November 28, 2018 examination. Once downloaded, the student should click on the verification link to make sure that the latest version of the App is downloaded and is running on the desired device.
The student will not be able to appear for the exam without the latest App updated installed in the desired device. On 25 November or 28 November 2018, the student should report to the exam center one hour before the exam time with his/her registered device (mobile/tablet /laptop). The student should click on the verify button in the App before the start of exam.
On receiving this request the application will verify the following:
a) Student’s login details – username and password
b) Connection speed and give warning if the speed is below threshold
c) Verify the Application ID to make sure that the student is using the latest version of the App
d) After successful verification student will be asked for OTP which will be provided by the School Exam Coordinator at the time of Examination
Once all the registered students are present in the examination hall, the exam coordinator will login as “invigilator” into the vvm website and update the status of the students who are present for the exam in the examination hall.
The exam section will be accessible only for the students who are present in the examination hall. It is to ensure that the student is appearing for the exam only from the specified class room. No student will be allowed or will be able to login after the 15 minutes of start of exam.
The student will be seeing one question at a time. Student can edit or change the answers any time by clicking on the review tab and question no.
The top panel of the application will display the statistics regarding the number of questions Answered, Marked for Review, Time Left, etc.
Fifteen minutes before end of the examination, the student will get an alert saying that “15 minutes are left”.
Students completing the exam before stipulated time can submit his/her answers by clicking on the “SUBMIT” button. Once the submission is over student will get an Submission notification and he/she will not be able/allowed to login in the App again. After completion of the exam time answer sheet will be auto-submitted and the Submission notification will appear on the Application screen. In case of any connection failure; the answers will be saved by the application to the local system in an encrypted form automatically. The student can upload the questions within the time window provided. While uploading the student will have to input a key obtained from the examination hall invigilator to ensure that the upload facility is not misused.

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) MAIN 2019

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) MAIN will be conducted by the NTA from 2019 onwards. This Examination was being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) till 2018.
JEE Main is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination

NTSE Exam-2019

Maharashtra State Council of Examinations (MSCE), Maharashtra, will conduct NTSE Maharashtra stage 1 exam on November 4, 2018. The application form of Maharashtra NTSE 2019 has been made available on August 16, 2018. The last date to submit online application is September 14 without late fees and September 22 including late fees. Students of Maharashtra, studying in class 10 are eligible to apply for the scholarship exam.
As per the exam pattern, there are two sections in the test namely Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) of 100 marks each. Each section has to be answered within a duration of 120 minutes and to qualify, a student needs to secure 40% (32% for SC/ST/PH) in both the papers separately. NTSE is held in two stages; stage 1 is the state level talent search exam which is also the qualifying exam for stage 2. National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will conduct stage 2 NTSE 2019 on May 12, 2019.
