Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is a national program for educating and popularizing science among school students of VI to XI standards. VVM also endeavours to identify the bright minds among the student community, who are keen on subjects related to science.
Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is initiated by Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) in collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organization under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) an institution under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.
Mode of registration in both the cases will be online only. No offline application or fee submission will be entertained.
Individual Student Registration:
Individual student registration will be allowed on the basis of first come first serve due to the limited number of seats/devices with the centre/s. Students will be provided with an option to choose from the centre/s created by the organizers for examination purpose. Date for the examination will be pre-selected and students will not be allowed to make any further changes in the same. Student will have to come with his/her own device with good internet connectivity on the day and date mentioned against his/her centre. Centre might/might not be able to provide the devices for all the students as its main focus will be to provide venue for conduct in the exam.

School and student Registration:
A fully web based option will be available for the registration of schools. The school Principal/authority needs to appoint the school exam coordinator and he/she will…
Enter the details of the school like school name, school address, name of principal, name of exam coordinator, mobile number, email ID etc. This information will be shown as school profile on web site.
The entered data will be verified by VVM admin through sending OTP and an Email verification link on registered mobile and email respectively.
After the above mentioned process the school will be provided with a unique identification number.
The exam coordinator will now be able to register students who wish to take up the VVM online exam.
The coordinator enters minimal details like Name of student, Class, Gender, Email ID, Phone No. etc. It can be an offline process, because, editable excel file (no changes in the format of file will be acceptable) provided for data entry. This information will be shown as student profile on web site.
After completion of the entries the data can be uploaded or submitted online. If the uploading or data submission is successful he/she will be directed towards the payment page automatically.
After the successful submission of fee the exam coordinator will be provided with each student’s username and password. He/she will be distributing the same to respective students. The login Credentials of students will also be available in his/her school profile page as well. After that the job of exam coordinator is complete unless/until modification of student’s details is needed!
After successful submission, an OTP and email will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID of each registered student respectively.
The student can click the verification link and complete the verification process by entering the one-time password.
In the student profile page, the details of the student like profile photo need to be uploaded (mandatory), DoB, Father’s name, Mother’s name, Residential address etc.
The student must also specify the details of the device from which he is planning to take the exam in order to download the VVM Exam Application compatible with his/her device.
Student can confirm the details displayed or change the device by providing the details of the device from which he will be taking the exam.
From the school login, the details of all the students registered from that school will be displayed. The authority of modification in the student’s name, student’s mobile number etc. will only be with the Principal/School Exam Coordinator.
School Requirement to conduct Online Examination:
To conduct the examination school should provide classrooms and invigilators. Rs. 20 per student should be retained by the school as a service charge from organizers.
School Exam coordinator is requested to please do retain the above service charge with school and rest of the amount will be transferred only through RTGS/NEFT to VVM Delhi office.
About Devices and Internet facility:
All the students will be appearing in the examination through their own devices with internet connectivity. If the school is providing the devices with internet facility it will have to ensure that each device is equipped with good internet connectivity (minimum WiFi speed of 10 Mbps should be ensured for a batch of 100 students). As the student number increases beyond this level the available WiFi speed need to be increased in proportion.
Application Download and Installation:
Once the registration process is complete the Exam application will be made available to download from the profile page of the student. The Application (app) will be installed and working properly only if the registered device (laptop/tablet/mobile) details are correct or it is downloaded according to the operating system of the desired device from student’s profile page.
The profile page will contain detailed instructions for Application download and installation. Request support link will be available in case of any issues.
Once the App is downloaded the user will have the option to test the Application. Students will have to update it regularly and for this purpose he/she will have to allow push notification from this App for update notifications.
Notifications and Mock test:
To build the confidence of the students and to make exam user friendly, the mock test will be conducted regularly. The registered students will get regular notifications regarding the availability of mock exams. On the specified date and time the student can login and take the mock test. The student profile will be displayed in the top section of the Application. The profile will contain student details with photo for identification.
On completion of the mock test, the student can view the results of mock test in his profile page. After verification of answers student can report to admin if he/she faces any problems in the feedback section of the App.
Final Examination:
Seven days before the date of exam, the student will receive an SMS and Email notification to download the latest App. This download must be done at least three days before the exam date. After 23 November 2018, the app will not be available for download (link will be disabled) for those appearing for November 25, 2018 examination and after 26 November 2018, the app will not be available for download (link will be disabled) for those appearing for November 28, 2018 examination. Once downloaded, the student should click on the verification link to make sure that the latest version of the App is downloaded and is running on the desired device.
The student will not be able to appear for the exam without the latest App updated installed in the desired device. On 25 November or 28 November 2018, the student should report to the exam center one hour before the exam time with his/her registered device (mobile/tablet /laptop). The student should click on the verify button in the App before the start of exam.
On receiving this request the application will verify the following:
a) Student’s login details – username and password
b) Connection speed and give warning if the speed is below threshold
c) Verify the Application ID to make sure that the student is using the latest version of the App
d) After successful verification student will be asked for OTP which will be provided by the School Exam Coordinator at the time of Examination
Once all the registered students are present in the examination hall, the exam coordinator will login as “invigilator” into the vvm website and update the status of the students who are present for the exam in the examination hall.
The exam section will be accessible only for the students who are present in the examination hall. It is to ensure that the student is appearing for the exam only from the specified class room. No student will be allowed or will be able to login after the 15 minutes of start of exam.
The student will be seeing one question at a time. Student can edit or change the answers any time by clicking on the review tab and question no.
The top panel of the application will display the statistics regarding the number of questions Answered, Marked for Review, Time Left, etc.
Fifteen minutes before end of the examination, the student will get an alert saying that “15 minutes are left”.
Students completing the exam before stipulated time can submit his/her answers by clicking on the “SUBMIT” button. Once the submission is over student will get an Submission notification and he/she will not be able/allowed to login in the App again. After completion of the exam time answer sheet will be auto-submitted and the Submission notification will appear on the Application screen. In case of any connection failure; the answers will be saved by the application to the local system in an encrypted form automatically. The student can upload the questions within the time window provided. While uploading the student will have to input a key obtained from the examination hall invigilator to ensure that the upload facility is not misused.

SCHOOL-LEVEL EXAM (JUNIOR AND SENIOR):
There will be only one examination of 2 hours at school level with 100 multiple choice questions each weighted for 1 mark. The examination will be conducted for the Junior Group (class VI to VIII) and for the Senior Group (class IX to XI).
Evaluation of student will be based on their individual performance at every level. The examination will be conducted in English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu.

State Level Camp will consist of Application Orientated Multiple Choice Questions, Hands-On Activities, Observation and Analysis, Situational Problem Solving Ability and a series of other activities. States will be clubbed according to number of Students appeared for the examination with the consideration of their geographical and cultural resemblance and convenience for the students.
Selected student will have to attend the camp at his/her own expenses. No travel support for this purpose will be provided.
NATIONAL CAMP (NC):
The top two students from each class i.e. total 12 students from each state will be invited to a two-day national-level camp. National Camp (NC) will comprise Presentations, Scientific Understanding, Innovation and Creativity, Out of Box activities, and Assessment of Leadership Quality.
Selected student will have to attend the camp at his/her own expenses. No travel support for this purpose will be provided.

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) MAIN 2019

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) MAIN will be conducted by the NTA from 2019 onwards. This Examination was being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) till 2018.
JEE Main is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination

NTSE Exam-2019

Maharashtra State Council of Examinations (MSCE), Maharashtra, will conduct NTSE Maharashtra stage 1 exam on November 4, 2018. The application form of Maharashtra NTSE 2019 has been made available on August 16, 2018. The last date to submit online application is September 14 without late fees and September 22 including late fees. Students of Maharashtra, studying in class 10 are eligible to apply for the scholarship exam.
As per the exam pattern, there are two sections in the test namely Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) of 100 marks each. Each section has to be answered within a duration of 120 minutes and to qualify, a student needs to secure 40% (32% for SC/ST/PH) in both the papers separately. NTSE is held in two stages; stage 1 is the state level talent search exam which is also the qualifying exam for stage 2. National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will conduct stage 2 NTSE 2019 on May 12, 2019.

MSCE has released NTSE Maharashtra 2019 application form online on August 16, 2018. The last date to apply is September 14, while students can submit the form with late fee till September 22, 2018. Students can acquire the forms from their respective schools fill it offline and submit it after paying the required fee (Rs. 120). Students will also be able to download the form online by clicking on the link given on this page and registering themselves. After filling the form, they have to submit the same to their schools. NTSE Maharashtra exam application form will then be submitted to the state liaison’s officer by the school authority before last date. NTSE Maharashtra 2019 – Exam Pattern
Examination for stage 1 Maharashtra NTSE 2019 will be conducted in two parts, Mental Ability Test (MAT), and Scholastic Ability Test (SAT). MAT and SAT will contain 100 questions each. There will be no negative marking in NTSE Maharashtra 2019, and each question is worth 1 mark. Language Test or Language Comprehension Test will not be a part of stage 1 NTSE this year as per fresh notifications released by National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) 2018

KVPY 2018 Application Form has been released on 11th July 2018. The exam is organized by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a national level fellowship programme. Department of Science and Technology, Government of India has started this programme in 1999. It is conducted to provide scholarship upto pre-Ph.D level to the selected candidates. The selection will be based on the aptitude test & interview managed by the IISc. KVPY Registration 2018
Candidates are able to fill & submit the KVPY application form 2018 through online mode. The application form details are given below.
• There is no other mode to fill the application form.
• Candidates can register for the KVPY exam from 11th July 2018.
• The last date for KVPY 2018 Registration will be 31st August 2018.
• Candidates have to fill their personal and academic details, choose test centre & upload photograph, signature & other certificates as applicable.
• Before filling the KVPY registration form, candidates must read the instruction carefully.
• Keep the printout of the filled application form for future use.
Application for KVPY-2018 must be done online only.
There are three steps to complete your application successfully.
Step 1. Registration
Step 2. Filling personal and academic details, choosing test centres and uploading photo, signature and other certificates, as applicable.
Step 3. Payment of application fees. Please note that you must pay the fee only at the KVPY application portal. This can be done by using a Credit Card, ATM-Debit Card or Net Banking. No other means of payment will be accepted.  Once the payment is successful and application is submitted, no refund of application fee will be done.
The application fees for KVPY-2018 are as follows:
For General/OBC Category: Rs. 1000,  For SC/ST/PWD: Rs. 500 (Bank Charges extra)

Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India.
For Stream SA:
a) Qualifying Exam: Candidates who studied in Class 11th (science stream) must apply for this exam.
b) Minimum Marks: Candidates have to pass class 10th with Mathematics & Science subjects & secure minimum 75% marks (65% marks for SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate.
For Stream SX:
a) Qualifying Exam: Candidates, those studied in class 12th (science subjects) can apply.
b) Minimum Marks: Candidates have to score minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate in Mathematics & Science subjects (PCB) in Class 12th. Candidates also have to obtain at least 75% marks (65% marks in case of SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate in class 10th.
For Stream SB:
a) Qualifying Exam: Candidates who enrolled in 1st year of the UG programme in Basic Science (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics & Biology) leading to B.Sc/BS/B.Math./B.Stat./MS/Int. M.Sc) can apply for this exam.
b) Minimum Marks: Candidates have to score at least 60% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST/PwD category) in 10+2 examination.
Exam Pattern
The exam pattern complete details are given here:
1. Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted through online (computer based test) mode.
2. Language: The exam will be conducted both in English & Hindi Language.
3. Exam Duration: The duration of the examination will be three hours.
4. Type of Questions: The question paper will be objective type.
5. No. of Papers: The question paper will come in two sections: PART I & PART II.
6. Marks: The question paper will be total 100 marks.
7. Marking Scheme: In PART I, one mark will be given to the candidates for correct answer. In PART II, two marks will be awarded for each correct response.
8. Negative Marking: In PART I, 0.25 marks will be deducted for incorrect answer. In PART II, 0.5 marks will be deducted for wrong response.
KVPY Syllabus 2018
The syllabus of KVPY 2018 is consist of the PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Biology) Subjects. KVPY 2018 Syllabus is comprised of the topics & chapters of the Class 10th/11th/12th/1st year of B.Sc/BS/B.Stat/B.Math/MS/Int. M.Sc. There is no prescribed syllabus for this exam.

Green Olympiad 2018

GREEN Olympiad is organized annually by TERI since 1999. This programme has received support from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), and other educational boards / trusts over the years. GREEN Olympiad is also endorsed by UNESCO, New Delhi.
