NCERT Common Entrance Examination (RIE-CEE 2020) for B.Ed Programmes at Regional Institutes of Education

NCERT invites applications for the Common Entrance Exam for admission to various teacher education programmes of Regional Institutes of Education – RIE Ajmer, RIE Bhopal, RIE Bhubaneswar, RIE Mysuru, NERIE Shillong and Prarambh, State Institute of Advanced Studies in Teacher Education, Jhajjar, Haryana.
The various courses offered are:
1. 2-year Bachelor of Education programme (B.Ed)
2. 4 -year B.A, B.Ed
3. 4-year B.Sc, B.Ed
4. 2-year Master of Education programme (M.Ed)
5. 6-year M.Sc Ed programme in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
Eligibility
2-year B.Ed: 
Candidates with at least 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/ Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science or Mathematics or in Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Social Sciences/Humanities are eligible for admission to the programme (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/PwD candidates).
B.A.B.Ed. Course:
Candidates must have passed +2 / Hr. Secondary/Sr. Secondary or equivalent examination in Science and Commerce streams or in Arts streams with at least 50% marks in aggregate (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates) in 2018, 2019 and appearing/ appeared in 2020.
B.Sc.B.Ed. Course:
a) Candidates seeking admission to Physical Science Group (PCM) must have passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) (Mathematics stands for Mathematics or Statistics) and those seeking admission to Biological Science Group (CBZ) must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) (Biology stands for Biology or Biotechnology) at +2 level.
b) Candidates must have passed +2 / Hr. Sec./ Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination recognized by University/ Board with at least 50% marks in aggregate of qualifying examination (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/PwD candidates). The qualifying examination should be recognized by the affiliated universities of the RIEs.
c) Candidates who have passed +2 / Hr. Sec./ Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination in 2018, 2019 or appearing /appeared in 2020, only.
M.Ed:
Candidates seeking admission to the M.Ed. Programme should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade {relaxation by 5% for SC/ST/PwD Candidates} in the following programmes / courses from any University / College / Institute recognized by affiliating universities
a) B.Ed.
b) B.A.B.Ed./B.A.Ed/B.Sc.B.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
c) B.El.Ed.
d) D.El.Ed. with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Science (With 50% marks in each)
M.Sc Ed:
* Candidates seeking admission to M.Sc.Ed. (Physics/ Chemistry /Mathematics) must have passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) (Mathematics stands for Mathematics or Statistics) at +2 level.
* Candidates must have passed +2 / Hr. Sec./ Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination recognized by University/ Board with at least 50% marks in aggregate of qualifying examination (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/PwD candidates). The qualifying examination should be recognized by the affiliating university of RIE Mysuru.
* Candidates who have passed +2 / Hr. Sec./ Sr. Sec. or any equivalent examination in 2018, 2019 and appearing/ appeared in 2020 only will be considered.
CEE-2020 Entrance Exam Pattern:
Separate Questions will be administered for the following groups:
Group-A: B.Sc.B.Ed./ B.A.B.Ed./ M.Sc.B.Ed.
Group-B: B.Ed.
Group-C: M.Ed.
Level of question paper will be as given below:
Group-A: The level of questions will be such as expected of the candidate completing higher secondary/senior secondary education
Group-B: The level of questions will be such as expected of the candidate completing graduation
Group-C: The level of questions will be such as expected of the candidate completing graduation and professional education levelFor all the groups, areas to be tested are:
a) Language Proficiency
b) Teaching Aptitude/Attitude
c) Reasoning Ability
No. of test items-80, Time Duration-120 minutes.
Out of 80 questions, Language Proficiency in English 20 questions, Teaching Aptitude/Attitude 30 questions and Reasoning Ability 30 questions.
